Some promising results throughout June for the Ocean City FC Super Y-League teams
U13 Boys: The U13 Boys remain the only undefeated team in Group B of the Mid Atlantic division. With a few more positive results they are sure to qualify for the SYL North American Finals in Tampa, Florida. After three successive tied results the boys will be looking for a much needed win against Match Fit Chelsea this Saturday.
U14 Boys: Mixed results for the U14 Boys leave them in a comfortable mid table position after 5 games. The team most recently defeated Real Maryland FC with a 2-0 result, they will look to take that form into what will be a busy weekend with three back to back games. They will be playing Princeton Soccer, Match Fit Chelsea, and Real Maryland FC.
U15 Boys: After some spirited perfromances in recent weeks the U15 Boys have started to gel into a team. A few close results have gone against the U15 Boys but the way they have developed as players has been promising. They have 6 games left which they will be looking to gain as many points from as possible.
U16 Girls: After playing 5 games the U16 girls currently sit in 4th position with 11 points out of a possible 15. The most recent game was at home against current leaders Match Fit Chelsea which resulted in a 2-2 tie. The girls will next be in action on Saturday July 17th at home to Rage SC.
U20 Women: Some promising performances from the U20 women have seen them compete well with the leagues best in recent weeks. July 8th saw the women lead Princeton Soccer 2-0 only to lose the lead and unfortunately lose the game 4-3. The women have one remaining game against PSG Spartans on Saturday July 10th.
U20 Men: A tough season for the U20 Men comes to an end on Saturday as they play their last game against DC United. A few committed performances from the men in the last few weeks saw them have an outside chance to make the national finals. Unfortunately a defeat last weekend means they are unable to qualify however they will be looking to finish strongly and show a good account for themselves before some of the boys leave for college.
