Ocean City FC Coaches Visit Local Schools
Ocean City FC Visit Davenport and Slaybaugh Primary Schools
Recently the coaches from Ocean City FC visited both Davenport Primary school and Slaybaugh Primary school to deliver fun sessions to a number of classes. Our aim was to inform the school kids about the importance of maintaining a healthy diet and undertaking exercise whilst having fun. The coaches enjoyed both days and were very impressed with talent on show from the children. At the end of each session there was also an opportunity for the kids to ask the coaches questions about their own experiences in soccer.
New Look for Mastbaum High School
Donated cleats helping players get a kick out of soccer.
Ocean City FC General Manager Neil Holloway had some new cleats gathering dust at the Barons office, and during a conversation with Jim Taylor (of the Mainland United travel team that he helps train), the topic of conversation got round to Jim’s high school team in Philadelphia.
The inner city high school soccer team has a United Nations feel to it, with players from all over the globe, many of whome have never played a high school soccer game wearing soccer cleats. Holloway immediately thought of the cleats idly sitting around the office and donated them to the Mastbaum High School boys soccer team.
About Camps and Community
As well as operating the Ocean City Nor’easters PDL team and providing affordable family entertainment, Ocean City FC is actively involved in many southern New Jersey communities, soccer clubs and schools through our professional coaching network of soccer training and summer camps.
