Nine players taking their game to the next level and getting an education while doing it
The goal of the Ocean City FC Super-20 teams is to help players take their game to the next level, whether that be getting a college scholarships or playing professionally. This year, nine players graduated high school and announced where they will attend college this fall.
“These girls have been playing soccer most of their lives, and to be given the opportunity to further their education and play soccer in college is a dream come true," says Ocean City FC Director of Coaching Leon Brown. "This season, the girls performed quite admirably. The results may not have shown great success but the dedication and commitment shown by the girls was fantastic. Playing against college freshmen and sophomores allowed the girls to gauge where they need to be going into their first year of college. I’m confident they can make a positive impact on their teams."
