Clubs combine forces to enhance player development opportunities for players in Atlantic and Cape May counties and surrounding communities
Ocean City FC and AC Premier are delighted to announce a partnership designed to enhance player development and provide players a national stage to showcase their talents through play in the United Soccer League’s Super Y-League.
“We are delighted to associate the Ocean City FC brand with AC Premier,” said general manager Neil Holloway. “It was evident early on that we shared the same vision for player development. AC Premier has quickly become the elite girls club in southern New Jersey and this partnership will enable the best female talent in the area to be showcased on a regional and national level.”
Ocean City FC has established itself as a leader in player development, with teams, training services and camps throughout southern New Jersey. Ocean City FC’s success is based on its ability to improve all players and provide them not only with professional training and coaching, but also providing the highest level of amateur play in South Jersey through the Super Y-League.
“We have been very impressed by the rapid growth of AC Premier and its dedication to developing girls’ soccer,” added Holloway. “They have very good relationships with the local township clubs and the timing of this partnership is right as we look to strengthen the girls’ side of our program and continue to grow our presence in the community.”
The partnership will see AC Premier’s teams participate under the Ocean City FC umbrella in the 2011 Super Y-League season in girls’ age groups from Under-12 through Under-17.
Ocean City FC will also promote its professional training services through the strong community ties already established by AC Premier.
“For far too long, the area’s most talented female youth soccer players had no choice but to travel to expensive, out-of-town soccer academies to pursue their sport and be seen,” said AC Premier general manager Pat Madamba. “AC Premier was founded by local township soccer club volunteers to cooperatively bring together the area’s most talented girls and provide them with those same opportunities here at home.”
“AC Premier’s new partnership with Ocean City FC firmly completes AC Premier’s vision of being the only truly elite girls’ soccer program in southern New Jersey,” commented Madamba. “We are absolutely delighted with the many opportunities for our girls presented by the new partnership with Ocean City FC, including the opportunity for our girls to showcase their talents on a regional and national level through play in the Super Y-League.”
