The Ocean City Nor’easters returned to Carey Stadium for the first time in over a month, but lost 1-0 to the Central Jersey Spartans.
The loss snapped the club’s three-game home unbeaten streak and drops the team’s record to 2-4-4. Bret Mollon was solid in goal for Ocean City, only allowing the one goal and only needing to make one save.
After Saturday’s action, Ocean City finds themselves 12 points short of the last playoff spot, with six games to play.
There’s little rest for the Nor’easters, as they head back out on the road for their last away match of the season, when they take on the New Jersey Rangers on Wednesday, June 30 at 7:30 p.m.
