The Ocean City Nor’easters are committed to helping improve youth soccer throughout communities in southern New Jersey and with this in mind we have created a fundraising plan for local youth soccer clubs.
Coming to a Nor’easter game is part of an action packed day out on the Boardwalk in Ocean City. Carey Stadium is on 6th Street and the Boardwalk, right in the shadow of the Gillian’s Wonderland Ferris wheel. Together with the exhilarating action on the field there is exciting half time entertainment at every game with competitions and prizes to be won. It really is a major part of a fun family day out on the Boardwalk in Ocean City.
We also firmly believe that it is very important for young players to watch the game being played at a very high standard. If the children see the top level players perform certain movements, passes or skills then they tend to copy them. This is an invaluable and exciting way to help young players learn and improve as soccer players.
Season Ticket Sale
The face value price of the Nor’easter season tickets is $40. Your club will encourage all of it players, coaches, and members to become ‘Season Ticket Sales Agents’, and sell Nor’easter season tickets to parents, family members, neighbors, work colleagues, and soccer fans at a reduced price of $30, which is a 25% savings on the regular price.
For every season ticket sold the Nor’easters will give back $10 to your club. Therefore, for every season ticket sold your youth club will make a $10 profit. If your youth club sells 100 season tickets, your club will receive $1,000.00. If your club sells 500 season tickets, your club will receive $5,000.00!
A Nor’easter season ticket allows entry to every Nor’easter home game during the 2011 summer season (approximately 8 games) and comes with a free Nor’easter T-shirt that can be redeemed during the opening game of the season only.
Fundraising Strategies
We understand that it can be difficult to fundraise so we suggest setting a goal as a club and informing the people you are selling season tickets to what your goal is and what you are selling the tickets for. For example; if your club needs to raise money to enter a tournament or travel overseas, your club can use this season ticket fundraiser to go towards the cost of this, and you should tell people that is why you are selling the season tickets. Remember every ticket sold makes $10 for your club.
As an incentive we have also come up with the following prizes to help encourage players and teams to sell as many season tickets as possible:
The individual person who manages to sell the most season tickets will win a $100 voucher from Eurosport.com.
The team that sells the most season tickets will receive a free week long summer camp from the Nor’easter coaches to help prepare them for the fall season in 2011.
