West Deptford, NJ - The South Jersey Barons Under 13 Boys won the West Deptford Thanksgiving Tournament by beating a good Monroe team 1-0 in the championship game. Solid defence was the order of the day as the Barons kept a clean sheet in all four games on the way to the title. Barons Keeper Trevor Tierno was given the match ball for keeping four clean sheets against tough opposition.

The Boys reached the final by winning all three group games. In the first game they beat TBAA (NJ) 1-0, that was followed bay a 4-0 victory over the Del-Val Stunners (PA). To seal their berth in the final they beat Hibernian (NJ) 4-0.

In the final the Barons played a Monroe team that was physically impossing, however the Barons defence kept its cool to keep them at bay. The Barons Kevin Nicklers scored the winning goal after some nice build up from the midfield, a great team goal that signified the teams play during the tournament.
