Ocean City, NJ – The Nor’easters Saturday evening opponent, Jersey Express, are poised to finish the second half of the 2014 campaign as strongly as in their inaugural season, seven years ago, in which they reached the PDL Eastern Conference Playoffs. The Express have never won the Mid-Atlantic Division outright, but boast a division-best 6-0-2 record heading into Saturday night’s match-up, and are the team to beat this season if Ocean City hopes to defend their back-to-back Mid-Atlantic Division titles.

The Express upended the Nor’easters 3-0 on June 14th and now lead the all-time record between the foes 7-4-3. Tyler Bellamy, former Ocean City Baron and professional player with the Rochester Rhinos, made his 2014 season debut for the Nor’easters in that game, but Ocean City was unable to stifle the Express’ prolific attack, and managed only five shots on goal. Look for Tyler Bellamy (4) to be back in the Nor’easters line-up this Saturday, as well as defender Jhamie Hyde (14), and super-sub Gogo Kollie (10), coming off of red card suspensions.  Jersey Express midfielders Conor Fitzpatrick (5), and Noah Sadaoui (7), as well as defender Walter Hines (11) contributed goals to the June 14th victory. Watch for them to lead the Express attack alongside midfielder Chris Karcz (8), and forward Jakeem Johnson (9). Game time is 7pm at Carey Stadium.

On Sunday night, Ocean City matches up against FA Euro – New York Magic for the first time this year. The red, black, and white Euro were founded in Brooklyn, NY at the beginning of the 2013 season. The Magic play at the Aviator Sports Center in Brooklyn, and finished in 6th place in the Mid-Atlantic Division last year. The Nor’easters played FA Euro one time last season, crushing the Magic 6-1 thanks to a new Ocean City single-game club record five goals from striker Dwayne Reid.  FA Euro – New York Magic currently sit in 7th place in the Mid-Atlantic Division, 6 points behind the Nor’easters. FA Euro have managed just 7 goals this season, but look for Jonah Williams (15) to mix it up in the midfield and forward Jacob Love (10) to generate scoring chances against Ocean City. Game time is 7pm at Carey Stadium.
