The Ocean City Nor’easters’ 2010 season has come to a close and they have unveiled their 2010 award winners. Defender John Fletcher has been selected as the team’s most valuable player, while leading scorer Byron Carmichael was named the top offensive player, and second-year defender Kevin Curran was tapped as the top defensive player.

The Ocean City Nor’easters closed out the 2010 Premier Development League season on a sour note, losing to the West Virginia Chaos 2-1 on Saturday night at Carey Stadium.

Kyle Miller scored in the 33rd minute, but the defense gave up two goals in the final three minutes of the match to give Ocean City their first-ever losing season as a member of the PDL.

The goal of the Ocean City FC Super-20 teams is to help players take their game to the next level, whether that be getting a college scholarships or playing professionally. This year, 12 players graduated high school and announced where they will attend college this fall.

Ocean City FC U12 Boys competed in the Central Jersey invitational on the weekend of July 17 and 18.

The Ocean City FC U12 Girls created history by becoming the first Nor’easters team to win a tournament. The girls battled through 5 games to become the U12 Central Jersey Invitational champions on Sunday afternoon.
