Ocean City Nor'easters secure second straight Mid-Atlantic Division title

The Ocean City Nor'easters are Mid-Atlantic Division champions for the second year in a row!

On Wednesday night, West Chester United was held to a 1-1 draw on the road against Real Central New Jersey, which clinched the Nor'easters the club's fifth division title in history.

By winning the division, the Nor'easters also clinch a third straight USL League Two playoff berth. The playoffs will begin on Friday, July 21 at a site to be determined.

The Storm (8-0-5) still have one more regular season game to play. They will host West Chester United on Sunday, July 16.

With the division and playoff berth already secured, the Nor'easters are just playing to make history, while United have already been eliminated from playoff contention. A win or a draw on Sunday against West Chester would complete a second straight undefeated season for the Nor’easters. Ocean City has never had back-to-back unbeaten seasons, and only one team in league history have ever done it (Des Moines Menace 2018-19).

As of Thursday morning, Ocean City is one of five teams in the entire league that are undefeated at this stage of the season (Chicago City SC, Park City Red Wolves SC, Fort Wayne FC, Texas United).

Sunday's regular season finale against West Chester kicks off at 7 p.m.

Single-game tickets can be purchased for $10 each (general admission). The easiest way to purchase tickets is to buy them online through the Nor'easters website (OceanCityFC.com). Tickets can also be purchased at the Carey Stadium gate either with cash or with a smartphone.
